Wiveton Hall, Norfolk

The current hall dates back to 1652 and is an unrivalled position located on the edge of the marshes between Blakeney and Cley. Staying here is a rare opportunity to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of this beautiful part of North Norfolk.

The beautiful Dutch-gabled Norfolk Manor house had a west wing built on during 1907-09. The West Wing became the ballroom with bedrooms upstairs to accommodate weekend guests. After it’s Edwardian heyday the ballroom with its grand piano became the drawing room so it could be let, as it is today.

The house is stunning and with amazing character, the West Wing now provides spacious, self-contained accommodation for up to nine & has a sunny, private, walled garden.  Some of the bedrooms still retain their old-style grandeur whilst others have more of a comfortable dormitory feel. By special arrangement, the whole house can be rented for up to 20 guests to enjoy the unique atmosphere and magical surroundings.

The owner, Desmond, star of the BBC’s Normal for Norfolk, is a wonderful character and is happy to provide guided tours of the estate and surroundings area. A few hours spent with him is an experience not to be missed.
