Sennowe Park Private Dining & Events

One of Norfolk’s most impressive large Edwardian country houses. It is still in private ownership and not open to the public.

The existing 18th-century house was transformed to a grand design by Thomas Albert Cook, grandson of Thomas Cook, the inventor of modern holiday travel. Originally designed to accommodate large house parties for hunting and shooting and this tradition is carried through into the 21st century with all modern comforts. The elegant reception rooms make for easy entertaining with all areas of the house available to guests.

A formal dinner in the oak-panelled dining room, supper by candlelight in the 70ft flower-filled winter garden, drinks reception in the library or Georgian drawing room or in fine weather make full use of the terraces with views across the Estate.

Sennowe is now home to Mr.Cook’s descendants, Charles and Virginia Temple-Richards, who will be your welcoming hosts and can also provide a personal and fascinating insight into the history of the house.

“Thank you for such a wonderful trip to Norfolk – a really unique and memorable experience. It was fascinating to hear the history of the houses as well as get a private inside peek into their family and what life was like all those years ago. I loved it! Dinner at Sennowe Park was a highlight for me.”
