Quintessentially British

What does Quintessentially British mean?

For some it’s all about history and tradition, The Queen, Afternoon Tea, the Summer Season, obsession with the weather, for other’s its music, The Beatles, the swinging 60’s, Cool Britannia. History, Heritage, the countryside, London, Music & Culture.

For us it’s all these things, it’s a celebration of the best of our heritage along with embracing the modern. Capturing the essence of our culture and rejoicing in the diverse spectrum of sports, art, music, food, leading Brands, and home-grown British talent.

We strive to capture this across our portfolio and offer you experiences that take you back in time and can then catapult right up today. As eclectic a mix as indeed, one finds across the British Isles themselves.

Sporting Spectaculars

The summer season, strawberries and Cream at Wimbledon, Pimm’s at Henley Royal Regatta. The Epsom Derby, Her Majesty The Queen, as like most years will attend the Derby on Saturday 4th June which is the show piece of the flat racing season. Visit the factory of one of the finest examples of British craftsmanship, Lotus.  Every car is still built by hand and tested around the famous test track at the factory in Hethel, Norfolk.

History and Tradition

Afternoon Tea A tradition since the 17th century, in recent years the ritual of afternoon tea has become less of a social norm and more of a luxurious treat. Learn all about this and how to excel at making your own at one of our masterclasses from the former Queens pastry chef, Kathryn Cuthbertson MVO. We also offer private tours including a Champagne afternoon tea at Her Majesty’s Christmas residence, Sandringham.
