A Taste of Henley - M Members evening

Mark Durden-Smith & Luka Ŝpik get the evening under way

Our partnership with M kicked off in style at the “Taste of Henley” Members evening in the M Den at Threadneedle Street.

With the help of our affable host Mark Durden-Smith and special guest Olympic and World champion rower Luka Ŝpic provided by our UHRR partner Journeys, guests enjoyed an insight into all things Rowing, Regatta and Henley.

The competitive spirit flowed as much as the champagne & summer cocktails in the rowing machine competition. With winners also receiving prizes from our champagne partner Jacquart and gin & rose partner Maison Mirabeau it was a hotly contested event. Luka was on hand to offer rowing hints and tips to all those who took part and couldn’t resist a go at the end himself. Yes, he would have won if eligible!

Fun and merriment were had by all, aided by the adaptation of the old favourite ‘Heads or Tails’ into the more fitting ‘ Bucks v Berks’.

If this was the ‘taster’ then the main event itself ‘The Ultimate Henley Royal Regatta’ is going to surely be the summer event of the season. A not to be missed opportunity to experience the best of this quintessential British event.
